Getting Started: Your Options

Starting your journey to finding a new pontoon? We're here to guide you! There are many brands, sizes, floorplans, and more, to choose from. No matter if you're looking for the right boat to take on big fishing trips, watersports adventures, or simply relaxing escapes, we can help you determine the pontoon that best fits your boating lifestyle.

How to Choose

Choosing the right pontoon is extremely important. You'll want to find one that fits your lifestyle and budget!

Which Size?

Pontoons are available in a variety of sizes. Deck lengths differ from tube lengths. While the deck provides usable space on deck, the tubes affect performance and capacity. Base the size of the deck you need on the body of water you're cruising and the number of people you mean to have on board.

16-19 Feet: Best for small, calm waters; accommodates up to 8 guests. 20-22 Feet: Best for lakes and rivers with no big waves; accommodates up to 13. 23-27 Feet: Good for rough waters, especially when the tubes are 27 feet long; accommodates up to 15.

What's Your Lifestyle?

Consider a large padded sun deck and sound system for lounging and sunbathing. Ample seating and food/drink storage is great for entertaining large groups. Look for easy access in and out of the water for great swimming and water sports. Fishing chairs are must-haves for the avid fisherman, as well as a fish locator, storage, and livewells.

What's your Budget?

Pontoon prices reflect deck size, brand, quality, engine size, and more. A small, no-frills boat can cost as little as $11,500. The average pontoon boat sells for roughly $20,000.

For higher-end pontoon boats, prices start at $35,000-$40,000. Prices are based on the added amenities, plus greater engine power for water sports. Expect to pay at least $35,000 for a high-end pontoon boat with all the extras and enough engine to enjoy water sports.
